Afrobeats superstar Davido and his wife Chioma have landed in Miami for their long-anticipated white wedding ceremony, sparking a wave of excitement online and among fans worldwide.
On August 8, 2025, Davido took to his Instagram stories to share glimpses of their arrival in the U.S., showing the couple stepping off a private jet decorated with elegant floral arrangements. A specially marked chair labeled “MRS” was also seen, symbolizing the couple’s romantic celebration and drawing admiration across social media.
The couple had earlier announced in April that their white wedding would take place this August in Miami, though they chose not to reveal the exact date. Now, with their arrival in Florida, the ceremony appears just days away, and preparations seem to be in full swing.
Joining them in Miami is Davido’s uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke. Reports confirm that the governor traveled via the family’s private jet to be part of the occasion. His presence highlights the importance of the ceremony within the Adeleke family.
Amid public criticism over his time away from official duties, Governor Adeleke’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, clarified that the governor’s visit to the U.S. will be brief and that he remains in constant communication with his deputy in Nigeria.
Davido and Chioma’s relationship has been closely followed by fans and media over the years. The couple got engaged in 2019, but their relationship faced challenges, including infidelity rumors in 2021. In a heartbreaking turn of events, they lost their first son, Ifeanyi, in October 2022.
Despite the tragedy, the couple remained strong. They legally tied the knot in March 2023 and welcomed twins later that year in the U.S. Their traditional wedding was held in Lagos in June 2024 and was one of the most high-profile celebrity events of the year, drawing in politicians, music stars, and influential figures.
As the couple prepares for their white wedding in Miami, fans and well-wishers continue to celebrate their enduring love story and eagerly await more updates from the grand event.
